Privacy policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
1. Introduction
ChaosWing LLC (“ChaosWing”, “we”, “us”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use chaoswing.co, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
It covers this website only. Our ventures are separate products and publish their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us, when you choose to:
- Your name, email address and company, when you pitch us an idea
- Your email address, when you subscribe to the memo
- Anything you write in a message or a pitch
Information collected automatically when you visit:
- IP address, approximate region and browser or device type
- Pages viewed and referring site
- Security and error logs kept by our hosting provider
We do not collect payment or billing information through this site, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
3. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Read and respond to pitches and messages
- Send the memo to people who asked for it
- Understand which of our work is being read, in aggregate
- Keep the site secure, available and working
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working — routing, security and remembering your cookie choice itself. These are always on, because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you turn them on in the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Your choice is stored in your browser and is not shared with anyone.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only where it is needed to run the site:
- Service providers who host the site, deliver our email, and store submissions on our behalf
- Professional advisers, where we need advice
- Law enforcement or regulators, where the law requires it
Those providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place for international transfers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep pitches and messages for as long as they are useful to the studio, and memo subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Server and analytics logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or aggregated.
7. Data security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Access controls and authentication on the systems that hold submissions
- Managed, regularly patched infrastructure
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Receive a copy of it in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing at any time — every memo has an unsubscribe link
To exercise any of these, email privacy@chaoswing.co. We will not treat you differently for asking.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it last changed at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
